Bio

A four-year letter winner at the University of Texas, Kaitlyn Slack joined the Kansas softball coaching staff in the summer of 2023 after serving three years as a graduate assistant and volunteer coach. This is the first year Slack will be serving as a full-time assistant coach.

Slack finished her third season with the Jayhawks in 2023 assisting with gathering scouting information through Dartfish.tv for upcoming opponents. Slack also manages academic schedules with practice and competition dates for current student-athletes.

Prior to her journey at KU, Slack was the starting shortstop for the Texas Longhorn’s softball team. During the 2020 COVID-19 season, she was named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team after batting .324 through 26 games with one double and one home run. She finished the 2020 shortened season scoring 10 runs, 12 RBI and two stolen bases.

A native from Liberty, Texas, Slack graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with a focus in marketing and a minor in management. Slack graduated from the University of Kansas with a Master’s degree of sport management.
