Made his KU debut at the Bob Timmons Challenge (1/6), throwing a personal best 10.91m (35-9. 5 ft.) in the shot put … At the KU-KSU-WSU Triangular (1/18), he placed fourth in the weight throw behind a personal best throw of 14.70m (48-2.75 ft.) … Went on to place 15th at the Big 12 Indoor Championship in the weight throw, throwing 14.11m (46-3.5 ft.).

Was the 2017 state runner-up in the discus out of Moore high school in Moore, Oklahoma. He has also competed in the hammer throw at the USATF Junior Olympic National Championships.
