Started his outdoor season off with a sixth-place finish at the Texas Relays where he jumped 2.14m (7-0.25 ft.) … Won at the LSU Invitational for high jumping 2.13m (6-11.75 ft.) … Jumped 2.15m (7-0.5 ft.) at the Kansas Relays and finished second … Won at the John McDonnell Invitational for high jumping 2.14m (7-0.25 ft.) … Was runner up at the Rock Chalk Classic for clearing 2.12m (6-11.5 ft.) … Took home the silver medal in the men’s high jump at the 2023 Big 12 Championships by clearing 2.19m … Wrapped up his season at the NCAA West Preliminaries, where he finished 16th overall with a best jump of 2.09m.

Finished first in his season debut at the Bob Timmons Classic jumping 2.14m (7-0.25 ft.) … Jumped 2.10m (6-10.75 ft.) at the KU-KSU-WSU Triangular and finished fourth … Recorded a jump of 2.16m (7-1 ft.) finishing first at the Jayhawk Classic … Achieved a personal best at the Husker Invitational for jumping 2.21m (7-3 ft.), finished second … Finished second at the Tyson Invitational for jumping a height of 2.21m (7-3 ft.) … Placed second in the high jump at the Big 12 Indoor Championships for jumping 2.18m (7-1.75 ft.) … Qualified for the 2023 NCAA Indoor National Championships with his No. 9 ranking … Tied for third place overall in the men’s high jump, earning First Team All America for the first time in his career.
