Named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week (Dec. 9) … Holiday Inn Jayhawk Classic Most Valuable Player … Kansas City Star Big 12 All-Newcomer Team … The only player to start every game and play over 30 minutes per game … In fact, she averaged 32.6 minutes per game and played 35 or more minutes 12 times … Finished third on the team in scoring (10.5 ppg), third in rebounding (4.8 rpg), first in steals (2.6 spg), fourth in assists (1.7 apg) and third in blocked shots (0.4 bpg) … Ranked among the top three in the Big 12 in steals throughout the season … The Jayhawks[apos] top scorer in away games with 11.5 points per game … Led KU in scoring and rebounding seven times each … Also led KU in assists four times … Notched double-figure scoring 18 times … Reached her season-high of 19 points versus Western Illinois on Dec. 7 in the championship game of the Holiday Inn/Jayhawk Classic … Pulled down eight boards on three occasions … Drained a perfect 10-of-10 from the free throw line versus Texas Tech on Feb. 1 … Hit the game-winning free throws against Nebraska on Jan. 29.
2001-02 (Freshman) Central Arizona Community College
Averaged a team leading 14.2 points to go with 6.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game … Shot a scorching 65 percent from the field and knocked in 27 percent of her three pointers … A solid defender as she recorded 85 steals and blocked nine shots … She was named second team all-conference.
High School
A four-year letterwinner for the varsity team … Named MVP two years at the Dimond High Shootout tournament … A three time team MVP for Lathrop High School … Was a two-time member of the all-state team and a three-time member of the all-state tournament teams … Was named All-American honorable mention following her senior season … Also a member of her high school track team, she ran the 100m, 200m and on two relay teams, and helped her team to the state championship her senior year.
