Washington High School in Tulsa, her sophomore season at Watson Chapel High School in Pine Bluff, Ark., and her freshman year at Fayetteville High School in Fayetteville, Ark.…during her high school career, posted 1,386 points, 443 rebounds, 270 steals, 240 assists and 32 blocks…as a senior, led Booker T. Washington to a 24-3 record, while averaging 15 points, six rebounds and five assists per game…earned Frontier Conference first-team and Oklahoma Class 6A all-state honors…was tabbed as the BTW Most Valuable Player, Frontier Conference MVP and Tournament of Champions MVP, and was named to The Oklahoman’s Super 5 her senior season…at Fayetteville High School, helped her team claim the Arkansas Class 7A state championship…at Watson Chapel High School, helped her team finish as the Arkansas Class 5A runner-up.

Personal
Daughter of Lee and Marla Mayberry…Her father, Lee, played in the NBA for the Milwaukee Bucks and Vancouver Grizzlies for a combined seven years after being drafted with the 23rd pick in the 1992 NBA Draft…Wyvette has three older sisters who have played collegiate basketball: Taleya (Tulsa, 2009-13), Kaylan (Oral Roberts, 2013-17) and Maya (Oral Roberts, 2017-19; Tulsa, 2020-23), and a younger sister, Rhyian, who is a freshman and plays at Booker T. Washington.

Wyvette Mayberry and Danai Papadopoulou have been selected to the 2023-24 Academic All-District Women’s Basketball Team, which recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their performances on the court and in the classroom.

Women's Basketball 🏀 Kansas Women’s Basketball Signs Wyvette Mayberry

Guard Wyvette Mayberry has signed a financial aid agreement to play basketball at Kansas, KU head coach Brandon Schneider announced Tuesday. A transfer from the University of Tulsa, Mayberry will be a junior at Kansas in 2022-23.
