Bio

Kansas volleyball head coach Ray Bechard announced the addition of Nicole Skoch to the coaching staff as volunteer assistant coach May 17, 2019.

Skoch most recently served as Shawnee Mission East head volleyball coach for the 2018 season and the KC Power Volleyball club coach for the 18-1 team.

Skoch, then Dalton, played four years at the University of Texas as a setter and defensive specialist. The Parker, Colo., native was a member of the Longhorn’s 2012 NCAA National Championship team and experienced five Final Fours.

Skoch earned Academic All-Big 12 First Team honors twice and was named a team captain her final three seasons in Austin.

Prior to her time with the Longhorns, Skoch played on the U.S. Girls’ Youth National Team that competed at the 2011 FIVB Girls’ Youth World Championship, and she was named to the 2010 U.S. Girl’s Youth National Training Team.

Skoch also led Chaparral High School to two Colorado 5A State Championships (2010, 2011) and was a two-time Gatorade Player of the Year (2011, 2012).

She recently married Thomas Skoch in December of 2018.
