Bio

Allison Florentino joined the Kansas Athletics staff and Kansas Team Health as a certified athletic trainer in July 2020. She oversees the KU women’s soccer team.

Florentino came to Kansas after a one-year stint at Michigan where she oversaw the women’s rowing team. Prior to Michigan, Florentino worked as an athletic trainer for the Chinese Olympic cross-country ski team in Beijing, China.

Florentino earned her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Quinnipiac University in 2016. She then earned her master of science (M.S.) degree in sports administration from Mississippi State in 2018. While at Mississippi State, Florentino was a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Bulldog’s women’s tennis team.

A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Florentino now resides in Lawrence with her dog Luna. She is a certified and licensed athletic trainer in the state of Kansas, member of the NATA, American Red Cross AED/CPR certified, Graston certified, Functional Range Conditioning specialist and Stop the Bleed Instructor.
