Andy Eisch joined the Kansas Athletics staff in July 2019 as an assistant communications director in the communications and creative department.
In his role, he serves as the secondary communications contact for Kansas football and the primary contact for track & field and cross country, while overseeing Kuathletics.com and the Kansas Jayhawks Mobile App.
Eisch also oversees the Kansas communications department internship program. He previously worked with Kansas men’s basketball (secondary), swimming and diving and tennis.
Eisch came to KU from Kansas State, where he served as a graduate assistant for their communications department. At K-State, he served as the primary contact for K-State track & field and women’s rowing, while assisting with all 16 sports programs.
Eisch earned his Masters of Science degree from Kansas State in 2018, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in Counseling and Student Development. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay in 2016, where he majored in Communications with an emphasis in journalism, public relations and organizational communication.
Originally from Wautoma, Wis., Eisch is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), College Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) and U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA).
