TITLE Director of Performance Nutrition Olympic Sports

Bio

Stacey joined the Jayhawks in the Spring of 2019 as the Performance Dietitian for Football and now serves as the Director of Performance Nutrition Olympic Sports.

In her role, Potter oversees all meal/snack procurement, team hydration needs, individual supplement plans, body composition testing, individual meal-plans, the teams nutritional education and game-day nutrition operations.

Prior to her joining the Jayhawks, she worked for Clemson University with their National Championship Men’s Soccer team, Men’s and Women’s Basketball and Rowing.  During her time there, she assisted in establishing the Universities first mobile training table and collaborated with Sports Medicine and Sports Psych to develop their eating disorder intervention, policy and procedure.   Before moving to Clemson, SC, Potter-McGill worked for the Performance Nutrition department at The Ohio State University where she spent her time with their Championship Football program.

Potter-McGill is a Registered Dietitian and a member of the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietitians Association (CPSDA), Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), and Sports Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition (SCAN) since 2015.

A native of Grand Rapids, MI, Potter-McGill is a former collegiate cheerleader at Grand Valley State University where she earned her BA in Marking and Finance.  She earned her BS in Dietetics from Central Michigan University and MS in Nutrition from The Ohio State University.

Stacey currently resides in Lawrence, KS with her husband Grant, daughter Harper and dog Nala.
