Devin Ducote joined the Jayhawks in January of 2019 after spending the previous three seasons at Auburn, where he was a defensive analyst. Prior to Auburn, Ducote was a member of Kansas head coach Les Miles’ staff at LSU as a graduate assistant from 2014-15, and coached defensive backs at his alma mater, Stephen F. Austin, from 2012-13.
As a player at SFA, Ducote was a three-time All-Southland Conference selection at linebacker from 2007-10. He helped the Lumberjacks to Southland Conference titles in both 2009 and 2010. His career total of 414 tackles ranked second in the NCAA’s FCS Division, while his total of assists (238) ranked first.
A product of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Ducote received his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Stephen F. Austin in May, 2011 and a master’s degree in exercise science in August, 2015.
