Shepperd joined Kansas Athletics in January 2005, helping to usher in a new gameday experience in Allen Fieldhouse with the addition of the in-venue videoboard. He currently serves as the Director of Creative Content for Rock Chalk Video.
In his role, Shepperd creates a variety of features and videos for all in-venue videoboards, social media platforms and broadcast content. He helps oversee, develop, create and coordinate the production of all video content within Kansas Athletics. He is responsible for the production and creative direction of team introductory videos, hype videos, features, commercials as well as video content for social media channels to further enhance the Jayhawk fan experience and brand.
In addition, Shepperd helps lead video content strategy and creation on social media channels, executes on-brand video content, and contributes to the management of daily operations of all video production. He also works closely with sponsorship and other internal departments to ensure video needs are met.
Shepperd first joined the department as a video production specialist for Rock Chalk Video, before being promoted to assistant director of creative content and then associate director. In 2020, he was named Director of Creative Content.
Shepperd graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2004, with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, focusing on broadcasting.
