Bio

Frank Shipley joined the Kansas Team Health staff in August of 2022 and oversees the swimming and diving teams.

Prior to arriving at KU, Shipley worked at St. Elizabeth Healthcare and Northern Kentucky University from 2008-2022. He cared for student-athletes from a variety of sports including women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s tennis, baseball, men’s and women’s golf, and softball.

From 2005-2008 Shipley worked as an athletic trainer at the University of Chicago with the football, men’s basketball, softball, and men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams.

After earning his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas in 2003, Shipley went on to complete his Master’s degree in 2005 at the University of Idaho while working with the football and men’s and women’s tennis teams.

Shipley is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and a certified CPR instructor for the American Heart Association.
