TITLE Director of Performance Nutrition

Bio

Natasha Hansen joined the Jayhawk family as Director of Performance Nutrition in Summer 2018. Hansen comes to KU from The University of Southern Mississippi where she was hired as their first Director of Sports Nutrition to oversee all 17 teams. During her time there, she established their sports nutrition program from the ground up through the development of their first fueling station and implementing new policies, procedures and guidelines.

Prior to her time at Southern Miss, she worked in the performance nutrition department at Texas A&M University working primarily with the softball, tennis, and swimming & diving teams.

Hansen is a Registered Dietitian and a member of the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietitians Association (CPSDA), Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), and Sports Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition (SCAN) since 2014.

As a former collegiate gymnast at The University of Wisconsin-Stout, she is passionate about sports nutrition as enjoys helping athletes succeed in performance through good nutrition practices. Hansen graduated with her Masters of Nutritional Sciences from Iowa State University in spring of 2019 and became a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) in fall of 2020. She enjoys spending her free time with friends and family, exercising, and playing golf.
