Bio

Madison Beene joined Kansas Team Health as a Certified Athletic Trainer in May 2021. She is an Assistant Athletic Trainer with the football team at KU.

Prior to Kansas, Madison worked at the University of Texas at El Paso where she covered football and the women’s tennis teams. Before then she covered Texas A&M club hockey and the Houston Wild youth hockey leagues as an athletic trainer while attending physical therapy school.

Madison received her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from the University of Texas at Austin in 2017 where she worked with football, men’s basketball, track and field, and baseball. She then went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas in 2020.

Madison is from Commerce, Texas and now resides in Lawrence. She is a certified and licensed athletic trainer as well as a licensed physical therapist. She is also functional dry needling certified, a member of the NATA, and American Heart Association AED and CPR certified.
