Morgyn Seigfried was named Associate Athletic Director for Communications and Creative Services in May 2019. In January 2021, Seigfried transitioned into an expanded role as Associate Athletic Director for Creative and Branding. In her current role, Seigfried is responsible for developing programs for student-athletes and the athletics department in preparation for impending Name, Image, and Likeness legislation.
Seigfried is also responsible for the oversight and coordination of all creative and brand building initiatives within Kansas Athletics and its 16 sports. She provides oversight of the creative staff and collaborates with the communications department to benefit the brand of Kansas Athletics. Seigfried manages all facets of the creative department, including creative design, strategy, photography, digital, branding and social storytelling. She also assists KU Compliance and KU LEADS in developing and implementing an educational platform for KU’s nearly 500 student-athletes regarding future NIL opportunities.
Prior to Kansas, Seigfried served as the Associate Athletic Director for Digital Strategy and Production at Temple. As an Associate AD for Temple, she coordinated creation of innovative and engaging content for all of Temple’s digital platforms as well as provided oversight of the creative and production staff.
A former scholarship soccer student-athlete at Temple, she served as an administrator for that program. After graduating in 2013, Seigfried spent one year at Lipscomb University as Athletics Content and Marketing Coordinator. She returned to Temple the following year, earning multiple promotions and additional responsibilities throughout the Owls’ external relations and social media department before assuming her position as an Associate Athletic Director for Digital Strategy and Production in 2017. She earned her Master’s Degree in Digital Innovation in Marketing at Temple in 2018.
Seigfried and her husband, Jake, are proud parents to their chocolate lab, Colby.
