Pat Kaufman joined Kansas Athletics in April 2012 and has served as its Chief Financial Officer since that time.
Kaufman provides financial leadership for athletic department. This includes providing guidance to the Director of Athletics regarding overall effectiveness of policies, procedures and internal controls in addition to ensuring departmental compliance with State, Federal, NCAA, University and Big 12 governing rules and regulations. Kaufman directs all aspects of financial planning and reporting, budget preparation, audit and tax management, bond compliance, risk management, and Business Office oversight.
Prior to coming to Kansas Athletics, Kaufman served in financial leadership roles at Swope Community Enterprises for six years and at the Stowers Institute for Medical Research for seven years, both in Kansas City. Kaufman’s previous experience also includes seven years at Sprint Corporation and four years of public accounting in the audit department at Deloitte in Kansas City.
A native of Winfield, KS, Kaufman and his wife Kathleen have four kids: Brian, Emily, Christian and Olivia.
