Taylor Spencer joined Kansas Athletics and Kansas Team Health in September of 2019, serving as a certified athletic trainer for Kansas track & field and cross country.
Prior to coming to KU, Taylor worked with BYU track & field where he first gained his love of working within the sport of track and field. Much of who he is as a professional comes from his time at BYU and the experiences he gained working with the athletes and the other athletic trainers.
Taylor earned his Master of Science in Athletic Training from Weber State University in Odgen, Utah in 2018, where he worked with three time Big Sky football champions. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from BYU-Idaho in 2016, where he worked in their Sports First Aid program. It was during this time that his dream of becoming an athletic trainer developed.
Taylor has also the following certifications: Kansas State Licensure-Athletic Training, BOC certified athletic trainer, NATA member, American Red Cross AED/CPR certified and RockTape Blades (Iastim) certified.
