Zach Wetzel

Bio

Zach Wetzel joined the Williams Education Fund team in May 2022 as a development intern. Wetzel will be with the Williams Fund until the end of June, then he will finish out the remainder of his internship with the Athletics Facilities office.

Wetzel graduated from Washburn University in Spring 2022. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in sport management and a minor in business.

Prior to graduating, Wetzel served as a student worker in the Washburn University Admissions office. In addition to Admissions, he also worked as an operations manager at Epic Overstocks in Topeka.

In his free time, Wetzel enjoys fishing, playing in a sand volleyball league with his friends, spending time with family, and supporting his favorite sports teams – the Jayhawks, Chiefs, and Cardinals. He is a lifelong Jayhawk fan, having attended many home and away games with his grandparents as a youth. Wetzel hopes to pursue a career in college athletics following his internships.
