Kansas ends the season ranked No. 18 on ITA poll

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Kansas tennis team landed as the No. 18-ranked program in the nation as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Wednesday afternoon.
 
The May 23 polls serve as the final rankings of the 2017-18 season. KU spent 12-consecutive weeks in the top-20, climbing as high as No. 15 on February 20.
 
Overall, 19 of the Jayhawks’ 21 opponents appeared in the ITA’s national ranking at some point this season. Kansas tallied a 16-7 overall record, with all seven losses coming against teams ranked in the top-40.
 
Final singles and doubles polls will be announced May 30, once the NCAA Division I Women’s Singles and Doubles Championships have concluded.
