Kansas set to compete in ITF 25K Lawrence Invitational

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Five Kansas tennis student-athletes will compete in the inaugural ITF 25K Lawrence Invitational at the Jayhawk Tennis Center at Rock Chalk Park. Play begins Saturday with the main draw starting Monday and Tuesday.
 
The Jayhawks will compete in both the singles and doubles brackets of the tournament. Seniors Nina Khmelnitckaia and Janet Koch will play in the qualifying singles beginning Saturday. Meanwhile, freshmen Malkia Ngounoue and Sonia Smagina, as well as senior Anastasia Rychagova, will participate in the main draw singles and doubles bracket starting Monday.
 
Qualifying begins for singles and doubles brackets Saturday morning. Koch and Khmelnitckaia will play their first match at 10 and 11 a.m., respectively announced by the UStA and ITF, which are hosting the event.
 
Live streaming is not available for the tournament, but live scoring will be available on the ITF page for the main draw matches. The page can be found here.
