THE BASELINE
No. 24 Kansas (12-2, 2-0 Big 12) will play its final non-conference match at No. 28 Tulsa (15-2, 2-0 AAC) on Friday, March 25. Kansas enters the contest riding a four-match win streak, which includes its first victory over Texas in Jayhawk women’s tennis history. The first serve of the dual will be at 5 p.m., at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
 
THE SERIES: KANSAS vs. TULSA
Tulsa leads the all-time series with Kansas, 13-11-1. The Golden Hurricane currently own a nine-match win streak over the Jayhawks. Kansas was topped, 5-2, by Tulsa at the two schools’ most recent meeting in 2015.
 
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN HURRICANE
Tulsa enters Friday’s match against Kansas with a 15-2 overall mark. TU began its spring campaign with a five-match win streak before falling to No. 5 UNC, 0-4. Tulsa responded to the loss by defeating No. 14 Baylor and then went on seven-match win streak. TU then fell to No. 13 Wichita State on March 5 and has not seen a loss since. Tulsa is currently riding a three-match win streak after blanking Charleston, 7-0. Senior Marcelina Cichon leads the Golden Hurricane at the No. 1 singles position and has posted a 12-2 mark.
 
UP NEXT
Kansas will continue its road swing following Friday’s match by traveling to Fort Worth, Texas, to face TCU on Friday, April 1. The Jayhawks will stay in the state of Texas for a match at Texas Tech on Sunday, April 3.
