No. 11 Kansas prepares for match against Nebraska

LAWRENCE, Kan. – No. 11 Kansas tennis will face off against former Big 12 opponent Nebraska Wednesday at 4 p.m., at the Jayhawk Tennis Center at Rock Chalk Park. Admission is free, and free pizza will be available to fans in attendance; there will also be a rally towel giveaway.
 
Live scoring and streaming will both be available for Wednesday’s match, as well as updates on KU tennis’ social media platforms.
 
Kansas leads the all-time series against Nebraska, 23-14. The Jayhawks won the last meeting, 4-3, in Lincoln, Nebraska, in 2014.
 
Nebraska finished last season ranked No. 46 in the country on the strength of an 18-7 record. Nebraska comes to Lawrence with a record of 3-4, including wins against Creighton, UMKC and South Dakota.
 
“We are excited to play at home again after a couple weeks on the road,” said Kansas head coach Todd Chapman. “Nebraska had a solid season last year and we expect a highly competitive match.”
 
Last Friday, Kansas blanked Wichita State on the road, 7-0. The Jayhawks are now 3-1, with victories over Northwestern (currently No. 12 in the nation), then-No. 18 Illinois and Wichita State.
