No. 17 Kansas ranked for eighth-consecutive week

TEMPE, Ariz. – The No. 17 Kansas women’s tennis team is in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s (ITA) top-20 for the eighth-straight week.
 
The Jayhawks slipped one spot from last week’s ITA rankings after a pair of, 4-0, road wins against Iowa State and West Virginia.
 
In singles, junior Anastasia Rychagova sits at No. 10 in the nation. She has an 8-1 dual record and is 18-3 overall. Senior Despoina Vogasari comes in at No. 67 this week and holds an 11-4 dual-play mark, seeing time at both the No. 1 and 2 positions. 
 
KU tandem of junior Nina Khmelnitckaia and Rychagova moved up to No. 12 this week, marking a career-high ranking in doubles for both Moscow, Russia, natives. They own an 8-2 record competing at the top spot.
 
Khmelnitckaia is featured on the list a second time with sophomore Tatiana Nikolaeva at No. 84. Since pairing up again, they have won two-straight matches on court one.
