“Nas (Rychagova) fought incredibly hard (Friday),” said assistant coach Caroline Lilley. “She responded to a tough battle (Thursday) with poise, grit and professionalism. I could not be more proud of how she represented herself and Kansas Tennis. When she gets knocked down, she comes back even stronger, which is a testament to the competitive standard she holds herself to. What an amazing day for Nas and for the Jayhawks!”

Next, Rychagova will face the No. 3 seeded Melissa Lord of Stanford at 12 p.m., CT.
