Rychagova finished at Lubbock $25K

LUBBOCK, Texas – Kansas junior Anastasia Rychagova’s run at the Lubbock $25K came to an end after she and partner Alexandra Valenstein dropped their doubles match Wednesday at the McLeod Tennis Center in Lubbock, Texas.

After rallying for their first win, the duo was not able to top the No. 3 seeded pair of Harriet Dart and Francesca Di Lorenzo and fell, 6-2, 6-4, in the quarterfinal round.

“I just want to say thank you to the coaches who made this tournament happen,” said Rychagova. “It was amazing to come and play with girls who are playing at a such a high level. I really enjoyed my doubles with Alex and I think we did pretty well for the first that we played together. Now I see what I have to work on and I can’t wait to come back and start preparation for my next event.”
