KU Soccer Kicks Off Preseason Practice

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas soccer began its preparations for the 2014 season as the team ran through its first official workout Wednesday morning. The Jayhawks worked on a variety of drills ranging from passing and attacking fundamentals to a full 11-on-11 scrimmage.
 
The Jayhawks will hold two-a-day practices this week and next, before settling into a more regular schedule next Thursday. KU’s first exhibition contest is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 15 when the Jayhawks take on South Dakota State at 7 p.m. at Rock Chalk Park. Admission to the preseason match is free of charge for all fans and all in attendance.
