Michael Stigler to be Featured on The Real Winning Edge Saturday

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas track & field junior Michael Stigler will be featured in a segment as part of a nationally syndicated Saturday-morning television special called “The Real Winning Edge”. The show is scheduled to air at 12 p.m. (CT), Saturday, Dec 14. “The Real Winning Edge” focuses on spectacular athletes from around the U.S., and how they have overcome obstacles to attain their goals.
 
Stigler is the two-time defending Big 12 400-meter hurdle champion and is a two-time first team All-American. Last season, Stigler broke his own school record in the event with a time of 49.19 en route to a runner-up finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in June. The Canyon, Texas native was also a member of the Big 12 Champion 4×400-meter relay team.
 
“The Real Winning Edge” is a 26-week half-hour broadcast television program that introduces viewers to a host of talented young people across America. In addition to highlighting their outstanding physical abilities, the show also explains how the athletes have built character through their struggles during the early years of their lives.
 
Through interviews and profiles, these remarkable young people provide honest answers about how they dealt with adversity. Each half-hour program includes three segments, each segment featuring the personal story of an outstanding young person. The stories are introduced by an all-star team of high profile athletes and celebrities.
