Jayhawk women No. 23 in latest USTFCCCA poll
NEW ORLEANS – The Kansas women’s track & field team is ranked No. 23 in the latest national poll released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Monday.
The No. 23 ranking is a drop from last week’s No. 13 and marks the first time this season the Kansas women did not improve their national ranking, despite finishing second at the Big 12 Indoor Track & Field Championship last weekend.
The Kansas men dropped out of the top-25 for just the second time this season, falling from No. 24 to No. 32 after finishing fifth at the Big 12 Championship.
Kansas athletes will await the official qualifiers list for the NCAA Indoor Championships in College Station, Texas, March 9-10. Any athletes that rank in the top-16 in the NCAA in individual events and any relays that rank in the top-12 will qualify for the national championships.
