Jayhawks to host ‘Rock the Track’ on Nov. 5

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Come “Rock the Track” with the Jayhawk Track & Field team on November 5 from 1-3 p.m., inside KU’s indoor practice facility, Anschutz Sports Pavilion. Children in kindergarten through fifth grades will have fun running, jumping and throwing with the KU track & field team and receive instructional guidance from some the best athletes in the Big 12. The “Rock the Track” experience is free with all participants also receiving free admission to the 90th Kansas Relays to be held April 19-22.
 
The primary emphasis of “Rock the Track” is to provide local youth with a fun experience while also introducing the sport of track & field. The KU student-athletes will provide age-appropriate instruction with an emphasis on having fun!
 
Children will be divided into groups based on age and guided to different stations inside Anschutz Sports Pavilion. Parents are welcome to follow their child to each station.
 
Registration is now open and must be done online prior to Wednesday, Nov. 2. “Rock the Track” will be open to the first 300 to register.
