LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Kansas track & field teams are set for a competitive weekend of split-squad action across the country, competing at four different meets in different areas of the United States. The Jayhawks will send student-athletes to the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas (March 27-30) the Florida Relays in Gainesville, Florida (March 28-30), the Mike Fanelli Track Classic in Hayward, California (March 28-30) and the Oral Roberts Invitational in Tulsa, Oklahoma (March 29-30).
 
KANSAS CREW HEADED TO AUSTIN FOR HISTORIC TEXAS RELAYS
Kansas will send 24 athletes to the 92nd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas, March 27-30. The meet opens on Wednesday, but no Jayhawks are slated to compete until the second day of competition in Austin.
 
The Jayhawks are sending a strong contingent of All-Americans to the Texas Relays, including 2019 NCAA Indoor 800-meter run champion Bryce Hoppel, who will compete in the men’s invitational section of the 800 on Thursday evening.
 
Live results will be available at Relays.TexasSports.com. There will be a number of live streams available throughout the meet on the Longhorn Network via WatchESPN.com. Wednesday’s action will be aired from 6:30-8 p.m., Thursday will have streams running from 4:30-8 p.m., Friday will air from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 5-7 p.m., and Saturday’s action can be seen live from 1:30-5:30 p.m.
 
JAYHAWK THROWERS TREKKING TO THE SUNSHINE STATE
Eight Kansas throwers are set to compete at the 2019 Pepsi Florida Relays in Gainesville, Florida, March 28-30. George Evans, Patrick Larrison and Gleb Dudarev will be competing for the Kansas men in Florida, while Rachel Clowers, Alexandra Emilianov, Shaylyn Stallbaumer, Bailee Swift and Allie Twietmeyer will compete for the KU women.
 
A live stream of the meet will be available on the SEC Network+ via WatchESPN.com and live results will be hosted by Delta Timing at DeltaTiming.com.
 
KU DISTANCE SQUAD HITTING THE WEST COAST
Kansas is sending 11 distance runners to Hayward, California for the Mike Fanelli Track Classic – formerly the San Francisco State Distance Carnival – at Chabot College Track, March 28-30.
 
FloTrack will carry a live stream of the meet and live results will be provided by Red Cap Timing at RedCapTiming.com.
 
33 JAYHAWKS READY FOR ACTION IN TULSA
The Jayhawks will send 33 student-athletes to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the Oral Roberts Invitational, March 29-30 at the ONEOK Sports Complex. The action can be followed with a live stream at ORUathletics.com and live results via BlackSquirrelTiming.com.
 
UP NEXT
The Jayhawks will hit the road again, this time traveling to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the Battle on The Bayou, hosted by LSU. The meet is slated for Saturday, April 6 at the Bernie Moore Track Stadium.
