Second annual Rock the Track set for November 11

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Come “Rock the Track” with the Kansas track & field team on November 11 from 1-3 p.m., inside KU’s indoor facility, Anschutz Sports Pavilion. Children in kindergarten through fifth grades will have fun running, jumping and throwing with the KU track & field team and receive instructional guidance from some of the best athletes in the Big 12. The “Rock the Track” experience is free with all participants also receiving free admission to the 91st Kansas Relays to be held April 18-21.
 
The primary emphasis of “Rock the Track” is to provide local youth with a fun experience while also introducing the sport of track & field. The KU student-athletes will provide age-appropriate instruction with an emphasis on having fun!
 
Children will be divided into groups based on age and guided to different stations inside Anschutz Sports Pavilion. Parents are welcome to follow their child to each station.
 
Registration is now open and must be done online prior to Sunday, November 5. “Rock the Track” will be open to the first 300 to register.
