LAWRENCE, Kan. – With a top-five ranking and in a tie for first place in the Big 12 standings, fourth-ranked Kansas volleyball continues to knock on the door of unprecedented accomplishments.

As Kansas prepares for Saturday night’s match at Oklahoma (8 p.m., SSTV), a pair of Jayhawks are approaching career milestones.

Junior All-American right-side hitter Kelsie Payne needs just 10 kills to become the 15th Jayhawk to reach 1,000 kills. Senior middle blocker Tayler Soucie stands six blocks away from becoming the third Jayhawk to reach 500 blocks in her career.

Payne and Soucie have already etched their name in the Kansas record books as the duo ranks first and third, respectively, in career hitting percentage at KU.

Kansas (21-2, 10-1 Big 12) is looking to extend its current eight-match winning streak and retain control of its own destiny to win the program’s first-ever Big 12 title.

Oklahoma (13-10, 4-6) enters the weekend with one of the Big 12’s most efficient offenses, ranking second in hitting percentage (.253). OU’s Micaela Spann leads the league with a .387 hitting percentage.

Saturday’s match will be available to watch on Sooner Sports TV (FOX Sports Oklahoma). The Jayhawk Radio Network will carry live audio of the match on KWOD-AM 1660 and KUAthletics.com/radio.
