Notes QUICK HITS

  • The Blue Team captured its second-straight intrasquad victory, 70-25.
  • Sophomore Haley Bishop shined once again in the intrasquad meet, matching her 10-point individual total from her freshman year. She and fellow sophomore Breonna Barker co-led all Jayhawks in individual points.
  • Sophomore Taylor Sieperda didn’t win any individual events but was named the Swimmer of the Meet after solidly performing in a supporting role for the Blue Team and helping in a relay victory.
  • Highlights from the freshman class included wins by Elizabeth Amato-Hanner in the 100-yard backstroke and Haley Downey in the 100-yard breaststroke.
  • Juniors scored 24 out of the 81 points from individual events. Six juniors contributed to the point total, buoyed by wins from Nadia Khechfe and Madison Straight.
  • Khechfe topped senior Graylyn Jones for the diving crown on the one-meter boards.
