LAWRENCE, Kan. – Head coach Ray Bechard and the Kansas volleyball coaching staff will host a coaches clinic, April 15-16, in Horejsi Family Athletics Center to give an inside look at the techniques that led to the program’s first-ever appearance in the NCAA Final Four in 2015.

“This is a great opportunity for coaches to immerse themselves in our techniques and get a front-row seat at how we run our program,” Bechard said. “Our program is invested in improving the development of volleyball in this region, and we hope this clinic plays a small part in that progress.”

Current Kansas student-athletes will be on hand to demonstrate various drills, pass and serve techniques, drills to create pressure on defenses, 6-on-6 drills, and a full practice.

Sessions on strength and nutrition with team-builder Bill Cordes will also be part of the clinic. Cordes is a national speaker and author and has been associated with Bechard’s team development for numerous years.

The clinic, which includes complementary meals, concludes on Saturday, April 16, with a scrimmage against UMKC.
