Davis Signs with San Antonio Stars

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Stars signed former Kansas forward Carolyn Davis to their 2014 training camp roster as announced by head coach and general manager Dan Hughes on Thursday afternoon.

While at KU, Davis helped the Jayhawks to their second-straight NCAA Sweet 16 appearance as a senior in 2013, where she led the squad with 15.8 points and grabbed 6.6 rebounds per game. She earned All-Big 12 Second Team honors in her final season in Crimson and Blue. As a junior, Davis earned All-Big 12 First Team honors after averaging 16.9 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.

Davis became just the seventh Jayhawk to record 1,700 points and collect 700 rebounds in Kansas women’s basketball history. In her four-year career (2010-13), Davis scored 15.6 points and tallied 6.5 rebounds per game. She shot 61.8 percent from the field in four seasons, which is the highest career field percentage in KU women’s basketball history.

San Antonio Stars’ training camp begins on Sunday, April 27. The team will face the Tulsa Shock twice during the preseason, on May 2 in Tulsa and on May 6 in San Antonio at the AT&T Center.
