Schneider and Staff to Host Coaches Clinic

LAWRENCE, Kan. – First-year head coach Brandon Schneider and his staff will host the 2015 Kansas women’s basketball coaches clinic on Saturday, Oct. 24 inside Allen Fieldhouse.

The clinic is open to coaches of all levels. The clinic includes watching KU women’s basketball practice on the Oct. 24, handouts for drills and a DVD of practice. Following practice, all coaches are invited to join the Jayhawk coaching staff for a roundtable discussion. The cost to attend the clinic is $25 and registration is available online through the camps and clinics page via KUathletics.com.

Schneider, the sixth head coach in KU women’s basketball history, comes to Allen Fieldhouse after a five-year stint at Stephen F. Austin, where he returned SFA to the top of the Southland Conference. SFA won back-to-back league titles in 2013-14 and 2014-15 and the Ladyjacks made three postseason appearances. As head coach at Stephen F. Austin, Schneider was 95-66 overall in five years and 57-29 in Southland Conference play.

Season tickets are on sale now and start at just $69 for a full season of women’s basketball action in Allen Fieldhouse. Family Zone tickets are also available and include two adult and two youth tickets to every home game for only $149.

The Jayhawks begin their 2015-16 campaign with Late Night in the Phog, which is hosted along with Kansas men’s basketball, on Friday, Oct. 9, inside Allen Fieldhouse.
