Jayhawks Sweep Big 12 Weekly Honors

IRVING, Texas – The Kansas duo of Natalie Knight and Terriell Bradley were selected as the Phillips 66 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week, respectively, for the week of Dec. 29.
 
Knight, a senior guard, received her second career award and first player of the week honor this season, while Bradley earned her first freshman recognition. It also marks the first time that the Jayhawks have swept the Big 12 weekly honors in program history.
 
Knight scored 19 second-half points in Kansas’ overtime loss at Creighton (12/22) to set a season-high mark. She also grabbed four rebounds, while dishing out four assists. The Olathe, Kansas native shot 58.3 percent from the field, including a 50 percent effort from the three-point line. Knight has shot 50 percent or better from beyond the arc in eight games this season. She also played a season-high 44 minutes.

Bradley, a guard from Arlington, Texas, came off the bench against Creighton to deliver her best performance as a Jayhawk with a career-high 21 points behind 60 percent shooting from the field and a perfect 7-for-7 mark at the free throw line. Bradley also set career marks with six made field goals, 10 field goals attempted, seven free throws made, seven free throws attempted, four assists and 27 minutes played.
