Weather postpones Saturday's baseball game

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Due to severe weather on Saturday, Kansas officials have elected to move the regularly scheduled contest of the Dillons Sunflower Showdown to a Sunday doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m.

The contests will be played at Hoglund Ballpark as the final two games of the three-game series with Kansas State. Those wishing to attend are encouraged to check back throughout the weekend for further alterations to the schedule as weather conditions continue to develop.

Sunday’s first game will still serve as Senior Day, where Kansas will honor its five senior ball players starting a 1:45 p.m. That contest will also boast a Jayhawk Hat giveaway, while supplies last.

Fans attending games this weekend are encouraged to park in Lot 90 to avoid graduation traffic happening around Allen Fieldhouse.

The games will be available on the Jayhawk Television Network (ESPN+) and the Jayhawk Radio Network (KLWN).
