LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas women’s basketball finalized its 2017-18 slate as the Big 12 Conference announced the league lineup for the upcoming season on Thursday morning.

Led by 2017 Big 12 Newcomer of the Year senior guard Jessica Washington, the Jayhawks look to continue improving using their “Tough and Together” mantra in the 2017-18 campaign. Kansas’ third season under head coach Brandon Schneider begins with two exhibition games followed by nine nonconference games in Allen Fieldhouse. The Jayhawks have just two competitions on the road before beginning Big 12 play at the end of December.

The Jayhawks will face the six Big 12 teams that appeared in the NCAA Tournament last season twice each in the league’s double round-robin format, including two teams that made appearances in the NCAA Sweet 16. Inside Allen Fieldhouse, the Jayhawks host TCU (Dec. 31), Baylor (Jan. 6), West Virginia (Jan. 10), Texas Tech (Jan. 17), Kansas State (Jan. 28), Texas (Jan. 31), Oklahoma (Feb. 10), Oklahoma State (Feb. 21) and Iowa State (Feb. 27).

The 2018 Phillips Big 12 Women’s Basketball Championship will be held March 2-5 at Chesapeake Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
