FOX Sports will air pair of KU women’s hoops games

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas women’s basketball will have two Big 12 Conference games appear on Fox Sports Network during the upcoming season, as announced by the league on Wednesday afternoon.

The Jayhawks’ matchups against Iowa State and at Kansas State will be featured on FOX. KU’s 2018 Big 12 Conference opener on Jan. 5 against the Cyclones will be broadcast on FSN, tipping off at 1 p.m. Kansas’ second nationally televised game will be on Jan. 13 when the Jayhawks travel to in-state rival Kansas State. The game against the Wildcats will tip off at 12 p.m. on FSN.

The entire postseason Big 12 Championship will be televised for the sixth-consecutive year, beginning with the two first round contests on FCS. Quarterfinal games will air on FOX Sports Regional Networks for the 18th-consecutive year, while the semifinals and final will make their sixth national appearance on FS1.

The Jayhawks return 11 players from last season’s team and welcome four newcomers, freshmen guards Aniya Thomas and Brooklyn Mitchell and junior college transfers Mariane De Carvalho and Niccolly Ramalho.
 
Kansas returns 2017 Big 12 Newcomer of the Year and 2017 All-Big 12 second-team selection senior guard Jessica Washington and 2018 All-Big 12 honorable mention selection senior guard Christalah Lyons.

Season tickets are now on sale at just $109 for a full season of women’s basketball action in Allen Fieldhouse. Senior Citizen Reserved season tickets can be purchased for $80, while K Club Reserved season tickets are available at $75.

New for the 2018-2019 season, Kansas Athletics is introducing the Rock Chalk Card, which includes general admission to women’s basketball, soccer, softball and baseball are available for $175. The Rock Chalk Card and a women’s basketball reserved seat upgrade can be purchased for $225.
