Kansas faces Cowgirls in the first round of Big 12 Championship

LAWRENCE, Kan. –The 2019 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship bracket is set for women’s basketball after the conclusion of league play on Tuesday night.

In the first round of the conference championship, Kansas will face Oklahoma State on Friday, March 8 at 8:30 p.m., inside Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City. The game will air on FOX College Sports and the Jayhawk Radio Network.
 
During the 2019 regular season, Kansas posted a 0-2 record against Oklahoma State in 2019. Seniors Austin Richardson and Christalah Lyons averaged double-digit in scoring in the 2019 series against the Cowgirls. Lyons netted 14 points in the first meeting of the season with OSU, while Richardson added 12 points. A total of four Jayhawks registered a double-figure scoring performance against Oklahoma State in Lawrence.
 
Dating back to 1983, the Jayhawks are 33-33 in league postseason play. KU has made two appearances in the Big 12 Championship title game with its last in 1998.

Tickets for the 2019 Big 12 Championship are still available. All-Session tickets are priced at $110, $85 and $60, plus applicable service charges. Single-Session tickets are priced at $25, $20, $12, plus applicable fees. All active duty military, military veterans and teachers with a valid military or school ID can purchase a $5 general admission ticket for each session at the arena box office.
