1978 NWIT All-American, Adrian Mitchell-Newell, joins Brian Hanni for this week’s Throwback Thursday conversation.  Mitchell-Newell will be returning to Lawrence this weekend for her jersey retirement as part of KU’s celebration of 50 years of Kansas Women’s Basketball.  Mitchell-Newell discusses her favorite memories as a Jayhawk, the mentorship of Coach Marian Washington and what it means to her to be just the fourth women’s player to have her number honored in Allen Fieldhouse.
