Kansas Rowing Earns Nine Conference USA Academic Medals

LAWRENCE, Kan.- The Conference USA (C-USA) list of academic medals was recently announced with the University of Kansas rowing team garnering 11 total medals.
 
A total of 670 student-athletes have earned the C-USA Commissioner’s Academic Medal during the 2013-14 academic year, Commissioner Britton Banowsky announced. A prestigious academic honor, medals are given to those C-USA student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better.
 
The 2013-14 group of 11 Jayhawks added to the C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll is an improvement from the six Jayhawks that received a medal last season. The Jayhawks receiving an academic medal include three seniors, one sophomore and five freshmen. For the seniors, this is Elizabeth Scherer’s fourth time receiving a medal, the third medal for Catherine Clements and second for Jessica Jacob.
