Clements, Scherer Named to 2013-14 Conference USA Rowing All-Academic Team
LAWRENCE, Kan. – The University of Kansas seniors Catherine Clements and Elizabeth Scherer have earned spots on the prestigious Conference USA (C-USA) Rowing All-Academic team for the 2013-14 season.
Clements, the team’s First Varsity Eight coxswain, is a repeat award winner, and is set to graduate with a 3.94 GPA in the Masters of Accounting program. Scherer, also a member of the First Varsity Eight and a three-time C-USA All-Academic selection, will graduate with a 3.97 GPA in the exercise science program.
Fifteen student-athletes were named to the 2014 Conference USA All-Academic Team as voted on by the league’s sports information directors for women’s rowing.
The C-USA Rowing All-Academic team consists of student-athletes who have earned a 3.2 cumulative grade point average or better and are a key contributor to their team. This year’s squad each compiled a GPA of 3.65 or better, averaging an impressive 3.904.
