Kansas Soccer Exhibition Cancelled at Tulsa
LAWRENCE, Kan. – The string of storms set to move through the Midwest this weekend has claimed another sporting event victim as the Kansas-Tulsa spring exhibition soccer game was cancelled. The match, originally scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, will not be rescheduled.
The Jayhawks are in the midst of a spring season that has seen them go 2-1 in their first three outings. Kansas opened the spring campaign with a 1-0 over the Iowa Hawkeyes, before dropping a 2-0 decision to the professional club, FC Kansas City, in Lawrence. On April 3, the Jayhawks dispatched of the Drake Bulldogs, 5-0 at Rock Chalk Park.
Kansas will look to close out the spring on a high note when it welcomes the Creighton Bluejays to Lawrence on April 25. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m., with admission free to the public.
