Jayhawk Soccer Kicks Off Preseason Practice

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas soccer began its preparations for the 2013 fall season as the team ran through its first official workouts Wednesday and Thursday. The Jayhawks completed their fitness tests in the earlier in the week and worked on a variety of drills ranging from defensive fundamentals to 8-on-8 scrimmages.

 
The Jayhawks will hold two-a-day practices this week and next, before settling into a more regular schedule next Thursday. KU’s first exhibition contest is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 18 when the Jayhawks take on Nebraska-Omaha at 1 p.m. at the Jayhawk Soccer Complex. Admission to the preseason match is free of charge for all fans and all in attendance will be able enjoy a poster and schedule card giveaway.
