SMU Match Moved to Jayhawk Soccer Complex

LAWRENCE, Kan. – After a hard-fought match took its toll on the young pitch at Rock Chalk Park Friday night, Kansas officials have opted to move Kansas’ next match versus SMU on Sunday, Aug. 24 to the team’s former game field at the Jayhawk Soccer Complex. The game will still kickoff at 1 p.m., and will be free to the public.
 
Kansas defeated Wyoming, 3-1, in the season-opener Friday night. Juniors Liana Salazar and Ashley Williams as well as freshman Lois Heuchan added goals in the victory. The Jayhawks will play a Mustang squad that is coming off a 4-0 defeat at Nebraska Friday.
 
While Sunday’s match will no longer be broadcast by Time Warner Cable SportsChannel and ESPN3, the Jayhawk Radio Network will still provide an audio broadcast with Derek Johnson and Nick Dodson calling the action. Fans can listen for free be logging on to KUAthletics.com.
