Kansas To Host Second Annual Kansas Classic

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Kansas swimming and diving team is set to host the second annual Kansas Classic November 22-24, at the Capitol Federal Natatorium in Topeka, Kan.
 
The three-day meet will include only swimming events where 132 athletes will be competing from six different schools. The US Air Force Academy, Iowa State, Nebraska-Lincoln, Nebraska-Omaha and Northern Iowa will make the trip to compete against the Jayhawks.
 
The meet will follow the NCAA Championship format and events will be circle-seeded for the preliminary heats. The top three in each heat advance to the finals in the 500-yard freestyle and 400-yard individual medley. The top four in each heat in the 100- and 200-yard freestyle and the top five in each heat in the 50-yard freestyle will also qualify for finals. 
 
The meet finals will be televised Sunday, Nov. 24, on the Time Warner Cable Sports Network, beginning at 3 p.m.
