THE BASELINEKansas women’s tennis looks to pick up its first road win of the 2015 dual-match season as the Jayhawks travel to No. 9 Oklahoma State and No. 29 Oklahoma over the weekend. KU has played seven of its last night matches at the friendly confines of the Jayhawk Tennis Center, picking up wins in four of the seven home matches. The Jayhawks will face a tall task as both the Cowgirls and Sooners enter the weekend among the top teams in the NCAA. KU will begin play  against Oklahoma State at 5 p.m., on Friday at the Greenwood Tennis Center. The Jayhawks will then face Oklahoma at noon on Sunday at the Headington Family Tennis Center.
THE SERIES: KANSAS vs. OKLAHOMA STATEThe Jayhawks last met the Cowgirls in 2014 as Oklahoma State shutout KU, 7-0, in Lawrence. Kansas trails OSU, 27-16, overall and will look to snap a five-match losing streak to the Cowgirls when they take on OSU Friday evening.
SCOUTING THE COWGIRLSOklahoma State women’s tennis owns an 16-4 overall mark entering Friday’s match against KU, including a 4-2 ledger in Big 12 play. The Cowgirls defeated in-state rival Oklahoma, 5-0, in their most recent outing. Of OSU’s 16 wins, 15 have come against ranked opponents.
THE SERIES: KANSAS vs. OKLAHOMAKansas will be looking for revenge when it travels to Norman, as the Jayhawks were blanked, 7-0, by the Sooners in the two teams’ match up in Lawrence in 2014. Kansas has lost six-straight to the Sooners in the all-time series, but does lead the overall record between the two programs, 21-20.
SCOUTING THE SOONERSOklahoma is in the midst of a five-match losing streak, including a 5-0 loss at the hands of in-state rival Oklahoma State in its last outing.
