Young signs with Sundsvall DFF

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Former Kansas soccer standout Kaycie Young has signed a professional contract with Sundsvall DFF, a Swedish soccer club based in Idrottsparken that plays in Elitettan, the second league in the country.

Young, who joined the Jayhawks for her final year of eligibility this past fall, was a starting midfielder in each of KU’s 21 matches. She played the fourth-most minutes on the team while adding a goal, an assist and 29 shots in helping KU to a 12-6-3 record. Young also helped the Jayhawks to a run to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, the programs’ second in three seasons.

Sundsvall DFF is currently six matches into its 2019 campaign, which features 26 fixtures and spans until the end of October.
